I recently enjoyed a spicy hotpot meal at Spice World in Haymarket We ordered the pork tripe broth with mild spice level, though it still burned my tongue a bit - totally worth it for the incredible flavours! The highlight was the dressed Barbie doll that slowly melted into the broth. So cute and creative! Despite the 38 degree weather, we loved the experience We ordered: ~ M7 Striploin Dressed Barbie (Upgraded) ~ Mini Seafood Platter ~ Hand Shaved Noodles ~ Fresh Tofu ~ Wild Black Fungus ~ Beef Tendon Ball ~ Water Spinach ~ rockmelon as dessert It is now one of my favourite hotpot restaurants. The service is excellent and they offer a unique, interactive dining experience. I'd highly recommend it for a fun meal with friends in Sydney's Chinatown. Don't miss out on stripping Barbie and watching the bear dissolve into your hotpot - it's an Instagram-worthy moment!

A really fun place to go with a large group of friends. The boss or manager on the day we went was super friendly and energetic. He had a chat to us and even gave us an extra dish for our friend’s birthday celebration! The food itself was good and the staff were friendly. We ordered a wide variety of food for the hot pot, from quail eggs, to mushrooms (many types), to crab balls, the barbie with the meat dress, the veggies, fish, etc. I would say everything was great! The best part of here was the atmosphere. It seemed a bit like an arcade, with the lights and games. However, it was also traditional at the same time?! They had the robot machines to deliver our dishes, which was an enjoyable experience too. Would definitely recommend, not just for the food but also for the great service and fun time :)

A pleasant hotpot experience with a very convenient location. Service is top notch as expected with the price premium paid. Food comes quickly and is fresh/quality. Century egg is definitely worth a try as is their spicy broth. Sauce station is well stocked and has some interesting additions other places don’t have.

Great food and reasonably priced. Points lost for having no physical menus, and the digital ones don't work on Android phones. Was a bit chaotic trying to order, but enjoyed the rest of the experience. Also has a limited wine selection.

Such a pretty and cozy spot for hotpot! They offer both individual pots and shared pots. Both are so pretty but the shared pots have the broth in the shape of a teddy bear! The food is also so beautiful when it comes out! They really put a lot into the presentation of the platters which goes a long way.

For the price, the soup base here is nothing special but decent in flavour. If you are into bold spicy flavourful sichuan style hotpot, this might not be the place for you. A little pricy but decent environment.

One of our favourite hot pot places! Offers individual hot pot as well as a fabulous sauce bar. Great vegetable and vegetarian options, as well as a wide array of meats. They're most famous for their Barbie doll wearing a meat dress! As with all hot pot, it's better with friends. The more people you have, the more variety you can order. We've gone with just the two of us and it's not the easiest. It's on the first level, so just pop in and take the escalator up. Recommended booking on weekends.
